With the new sustainable bleachers, students, parents, and the entire Villa Maria community will be able to cheer for Villa Maria’s sports teams throughout the year.
This project was presented to Villa Maria management by the 2023-2024 student council and received approval. During the 2024-2025 Villa Maria Fund fundraising campaign, donations covered 100% of the $40,000 budget needed to buy the indoor and outdoor bleachers.
The main objectives are to:
- Create a designated space for parents and students to support home games throughout the year.
- Boost school spirit.
- Establish a new gathering area between the French-speaking and English-speaking sectors.
- Promote the presence of the Lynx mascot.
The interior bleachers in the gymnasium are removable and require minimal storage space.
